LET’S DO IT ALL, This Season for less cost than many large group vacation packages

  We are planning a course/cruise of seven (7) days. Offering the experience of sailing either a 41ft Beneteau Sloop or a 41ft Morgan Ketch  in these waters, while learning the skills necessary for sailing, navigating, and earning the certification which allows you to charter a sailboat, almost anywhere in the world. 

You may take this trip just for the fun of it, or you may audit this course just for the training. If you want or need the certification, you will need the stamp in your logbook for American Sailing Association’s Basic Keelboat (101).  This course provides an introduction to sailing, and the terms and skills of beginning sailing   We can provide 101(BKB) training for free, prior to the trip at our Houston location. Under some conditions all three courses can be provided on the trip

When you arrive at LaPaz in Mexico we will board a chartered sailboat, which will be our school and home for a week.  While sailing the boat from island to island, you will assist in operating and navigating the craft, while acquiring the skills and knowledge to achieve your American Sailing Association’s Basic Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Chartering certifications.

Upon your return you have had the training to have qualified for the three certificates that give you the ability to charter without a Captain at most of the sailing charter services worldwide.   And, you will have a memorable experience of sailing in some of the most exotic waters in the world.

 Total cost: $1998.00 per person double occupancy. (You provide your own airfare)

Arrive LaPaz Sunday before 11am. Board boat.

Return boat the following Sunday am.

Advanced program now available in La Paz

For those would be interested, we are considering a coastal navigation, (sailing 105) and advanced coastal cruising, (sailing 106) and Cruising Catamaran, (sailing 114) at the La Paz location. The cost will not be the same, as we are required to have two (2) USCG Masters on board, you will need to have already acquired ASA 101, 103, 104 before we can issue 105,106 and 114 certification.  One of the requirements for 106 is to sail around the clock, that means 24 hours under sail, this will include watch keeping, navigation and some more advanced sailing techniques. The textbook for this is the Annapolis Book of Seamanship. The written test for this course is not real easy but when you complete it you'll be a better sailor than over 90% of those that are on the water. If you ever plan to go offshore, this is the course to take

When you arrive at LaPaz in Mexico we will board a chartered sailboat, which will be our school and home for a week. While sailing the boat from island to island, you will assist in operating and navigating the craft, while acquiring the skills and knowledge to achieve your American Sailing Association’s Basic Coastal Navigation, (Sailing 105) Advanced Coastal Cruising (Sailing 106) and Cruising Catamaran (Sailing 114)certifications

Total cost: $2398.00 (Price subject to change biased on boat availability)

This Price difference from our other trips is due to the requirement of having two(2) licensed  Captains onboard.
