Let’s Go Sailing off the coast of Belize out of Ambergris Cay
We are planning a course/cruise for next season. You may take this trip just for the fun of it, or you may audit this course just for the training. If you want or need the certification, you will need the stamps in your log book for American Sailing Association's Basic Keelboat (101) and Basic Costal Cruising (103). These two courses provide an introduction to sailing, and the terms and skills of beginning sailing. We will provide free 101 & 103 training and certification prior to the trip at our Houston Location. When you arrive in Belize, we will board a chartered
sailboat, which will be our school and home for a week. While sailing the boat
from island to island, you will assist in operating and navigating the craft,
while acquiring the skills and knowledge to achieve your American Sailing
Association’s Bareboat Chartering and Cruising Catamaran certifications. (101
& 103 are required by A.S.A. to receive 104 and or 114 certification) Upon your return to you will have had the memorable experience of sailing in some of the most exotic waters in the world. And you may have qualified for the four (4) certificates that give you the ability to charter without a Captain at most of the sailing charter services worldwide. Total cost: $1998.00 per person double occupancy. (You provide your own airfare)
Includes: Training, Certification paper work, Charter fees, taxes, Ground transportation to and from the boat and food on the boat. The Athena 38 offers great sail handling, spacious decks and a huge cockpit for dining and lounging. Inside four spacious double cabins and two heads make this an ideal boat for 8 people. The roomy salon allows the navigator as well as the galley slave a panoramic view whilst comfortably seating the rest of the crew. The Athena 38 combines the beauty of French design plus ease of use - the best of both worlds! I can only accommodate six (6) people. You need A.S.A. Basic Keel Boat (101) and Basic Coastal Cruising (103) stamps in your log book for us to issue Bareboat Chartering (104) and Cruising Catamaran (114). Any time before the trip before we will provide free 101 & 103 training and certification at our Seabrook location (near Houston Texas).
Arrive Belize (Ambergris Cay) before 3pm. on Sunday. If you arrive on Saturday You may want to spend the night on Ambergris Cay. We will return on the following Sunday in time for you to catch the afternoon flight back to the US.
